Aivituvin AIR02: Connectable Wooden Rabbit Hutch, 10.4 ft² — Expandable for Growing Households
The Aivituvin AIR02 is a 10.4 ft² wooden rabbit hutch with a feature that sets it apart from most competitors: a connectable design that lets you attach additional hutch units or run extensions as your rabbit family grows. If you’re starting with one or two rabbits but expect to add more — or simply want flexibility in how you configure your setup — the AIR02 is one of the most practical hutches in this category.
Key Features
- Connectable, expandable design: The AIR02 is built to link with compatible Aivituvin accessories and run extensions, letting you increase your rabbits’ living space without replacing the whole hutch.
- 10.4 ft² of living space: Generous enough for 2–3 medium rabbits right out of the box, with room to expand as needed.
- Extra-deep pull-out tray: High sides prevent waste from spilling over the edges during removal — a small detail that makes a real difference in day-to-day cleaning.
- Five access doors: Multiple independently opening doors give you access to every section of the hutch without needing to reach far inside or disturb all your rabbits at once.
- Weatherproof asphalt roof: Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. The asphalt-layered roof reliably sheds rain and provides insulation against direct sun.
- Predator-resistant latches: Secure locking mechanisms on every door to keep determined predators — foxes, raccoons, neighbourhood dogs — out.
Space Guide: Is the AIR02 Right for Your Rabbits?
The AIR02’s 10.4 ft² comfortably meets welfare guidelines for 2–3 small to medium rabbits. The connectable feature makes it particularly well-suited for breeders or households planning to bond additional rabbits over time, as you can link multiple AIR02 units together rather than needing to purchase an entirely new larger hutch. For single-rabbit households, the AIR02 provides a generous amount of space that allows for environmental enrichment — tunnels, chew toys, and hiding spots — within the hutch itself.
Cleaning and Maintenance
The extra-deep pull-out tray is the AIR02’s key cleaning feature. Pull it out fully, empty waste and bedding, rinse with a pet-safe cleaner, and slide it back. The five access doors let you spot-clean different sections of the hutch without fully opening the whole front. Do a complete bedding change and interior wipe-down weekly. Outdoors, check the asphalt roof annually for any cracks or wear and reseal with a compatible weatherproof product if needed.
Frequently Asked Questions
What units can I connect the AIR02 to?

Is the AIR02 purely outdoor or can it be used inside?
The AIR02 works well both indoors and outdoors. For indoor use, its footprint fits most garages and utility rooms. The weatherproof roof makes it equally suited to a sheltered patio or garden.
Does it come with wheels?
The AIR02 does not include built-in casters. If mobility is a priority for your setup, consider the AIR19 or AIR24 models which include wheels as standard.
